1935 Chrysler Airstream

Ken Pevay is 2nd generation owner of this stately 1935 Black Chrysler Airstream. His Dad, Joe Pevay, was the 2nd owner purchasing it from its original owner in the early 60’s. Joe Pevay was the one to restore it, a process that took 20 years. Father and Son shared the love of antique motor vehicles. Ken had previously restored a Ford Mustang and at times, was in competition with his Dad at Cruise Nights and Car Shows.

This 35 Chrysler was restored on a budget. It is mostly stock original. The motor is flat head six and has a 3-speed transmission. The wheelbase is 118 inches and the curb weight is 3048 pounds. There were 12,790 C-6 Airstreams built in 1935. The selling price was $745.00.

Ken inherited the Chrysler after his Dad’s passing and he intends to keep it stock original. Though it is garaged at his Mom’s home, Ken continues to show it at Cruise Nights and Car Shows. He does drive this grand vehicle for pleasure. He enjoys the attention it gets. Ken also enjoys biking when he can.
